Terms, in plain language
The rules of the product are the terms. If something here surprises you, that is a bug in the writing; tell us.
The service
Blogcastr makes pins and newsletter drafts from recipes on a blog you control, and posts or sends the ones you approve, through accounts you connect. You are responsible for what you approve and for having the right to publish it.
Your accounts
You must own or be authorized to use the blog, the Pinterest account and the email account you connect. Pinterest's and Kit's own terms apply to what is posted through them. If Pinterest limits or suspends an account, that is between you and Pinterest; we will show you what we know.
Limits
Each plan caps pins posted a day, sites, Pinterest accounts, and recipes made a week. Unreviewed looks expire after fourteen days. These limits exist to keep accounts in good standing with Pinterest and may change with notice. We may pause an account that is being used to spam or that was accessed without its owner's permission.
Billing
Plans are monthly or annual, charged in advance. The trial is fourteen days of Growth with a card on file; cancel before it ends and nothing is charged. Upgrades take effect at once and are prorated. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the next renewal.
Money-back guarantee
If Blogcastr is not the right fit, write to us within thirty days of your first charge and we refund it in full, no questions asked. The guarantee covers the first thirty days of a paid plan, once per account. After that, cancellations stop future charges and no refund is made for the remaining period, except where the law says otherwise.
Your content
Your recipes, photos, pins and emails are yours. You give us the licence needed to crawl, render, store and post them on your instructions, and nothing more. We may show anonymized, aggregate numbers about the service; never your content. Fonts you upload are used only to render your pins and newsletters, are never shared or offered to other accounts, and are deleted with your account. You promise that your font licence allows rendering on our servers.
Our content
The layouts, the engine and this site are ours. Pins made with the service are yours to use anywhere. Claiming a layout gives you a licence to use it, not ownership of it.
Exclusive layouts
An exclusive layout can be claimed by one account, once, and is never offered to anyone else afterwards. While your account exists, you alone may make pins with it. A claim cannot be undone, swapped or transferred. If you cancel, the layout rests with your account: nobody else gets it, and it is yours again if you come back. If you delete your account the layout is retired for good. Each claim is a one-time purchase.
Bespoke layouts
When you send us your own pin design to rebuild, you promise that the design and the fonts are yours or licensed to you, and that we may use the fonts to render your pins. We do not copy designs that belong to someone else, and we will decline a request that appears to. The layout we build from your design is exclusive to your account on the same terms as a claimed layout, and the fee for it is charged once. The layout code remains ours; the design it reproduces remains yours.
Ending
You can delete the account at any time from Settings. We can end the service with thirty days' notice, and sooner for abuse. On ending, your data is deleted as the privacy page describes. A record of which exclusive layouts your account claimed is kept after deletion, with no personal details, so that those layouts stay retired.
No warranty, limited liability
The service is provided as is. We will fix what breaks and tell you what happened, but we do not guarantee traffic, saves, opens or that Pinterest will behave. Our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We will email you before terms change in a way that matters.
