What we keep, and what leaving deletes

Written to be read. The short version: we keep what the product needs to make and post your pins and emails, and nothing is sold or shared.

Karl's words go here. A lawyer's pass before launch. Pinterest's and Google's app reviews both read this page. Draft of 26 Oct 2026.

What we collect

  • Your account: name and email from Google sign-in, your plan, and billing handled by our payment processor, which keeps card details; we never see them.
  • Your blog: the public recipe pages we crawl: titles, photos, ingredients, categories, and a short description of each recipe we compute from them.
  • Your Pinterest account: an access token, your boards, the pins Blogcastr posts and their analytics, and your top legacy pins as Pinterest ranks them. One analytics pull per account a day plus per-pin pulls for pins we posted.
  • Your newsletter tool: an access token for Kit and the broadcasts Blogcastr sends through it.
  • What you do in the app: approvals, skips, edits and settings, so the ranking learns what you like.

What we do with it

Make pins and drafts, post what you approve, and show you what it did. Tokens are encrypted at rest. Pin images live in object storage under unguessable keys. A third-party language model drafts headlines and openings from your recipe text; your recipes are not used to train it.

What we do not do

  • Sell or share your data with anyone.
  • Post, save, or send anything you did not approve.
  • Pull your whole Pinterest account, follow anyone, or message anyone.

Deletion

Disconnect Pinterest and everything pulled from Pinterest is deleted. Disconnect Kit and its token and broadcast records go. Delete your account and everything goes, with backups aged out within thirty days. One exception: a record of which exclusive layouts your account claimed is kept after deletion, with no personal details, so that those layouts stay retired.
