About
Built for one food blogger first
Blogcastr started as the tools Karl McGinnis built to run Pinterest and the newsletter for his sister Mary Younkin's three recipe sites. Now it is available to any blogger who wants to save time.
Mary Younkin
The practice
Mary writes Barefeet in the Kitchen, Chocolate with Grace and Vegetable Recipes. For years every pin and every newsletter for those sites was made by hand, one at a time, between recipes.
Mary's words go here. Her bio, three or four sentences in her voice; how long she has been at this; what Pinterest and the newsletter mean to her sites, in her numbers if she wants to share them. Nothing here is published that she did not give.
Mary writes the practice articles on this site. Her name goes on what she approves.
Karl McGinnis
The engine
Karl is Mary's brother and has run the Pinterest and newsletter side of her sites for years, building the tools as he went. Blogcastr is those tools rebuilt for anyone.
Karl's words go here. Two sentences you are comfortable with, and whether you want a photo.
How we work
What you can hold us to
- Nothing posts or sends without your approval.
- Your data is yours. Disconnect Pinterest and that data is deleted. Delete the account and everything goes.
- The caps are real. We would rather you post ten good pins a day than a hundred that get your account flagged.
- We say what it does not do. No Instagram, and no benchmarks against other bloggers.
Write to [email protected]. A person answers.
